Network Group appoints new Business Development Manager

Peer-to-peer community group for IT resellers and Managed Service Providers expanding fast, with six new vendors joining since January and membership numbers approaching 90 across the UK and Ireland.

Network Group has appointed Jenny Langelaan as Business Development Manager. She joins Network Group to support an ambitious three-year growth strategy designed to further enhance the member experience through targeted educational and event content, benchmarking opportunities and wider outreach. In addition, the development of structured peer groups will facilitate deeper collaboration and information sharing amongst the community’s members.

With a proven track record in sales and business development, Jenny has held several management roles, most recently with Freedomtech Solutions where she played a key role in helping CIOs, CTOs, and IT managers explore and implement emerging technologies to drive business success. In her role as business development manager, Jenny will be instrumental in supporting existing members, developing new business opportunities and expanding Network Group’s reach.

As an established community for sharing industry trends, insight and advice, Network Group enables its members and partners to help each other advance and succeed – providing a trusted space to discuss opportunities, commercial advantage and business best practices.

Initially formed over 30 years ago in 1994, the community has developed from a small group of IT resellers to a significant network of resellers, retailers and MSPs approaching 90 members. Continuing this momentum, Network Group has recently welcomed six new vendors to the community since the beginning of January, including ContraForce, NinjaOne, Cynomi, Ethikai, Traceless and ESET.

“Welcoming Jenny to our team and six new vendors to our community is testament to our commitment to creating a thriving community of engaged technology people, who share their time, knowledge and influence to support the success of our members”, said Simon West, General Manager of Network Group. “Over the next three years, we aim to elevate our organisation’s impact by enhancing member experiences, driving sustainable growth, and solidifying our position as a leader in our space.”

“We are committed to transforming the member experience and driving member-led growth and we do this by providing access to commercial terms, peer group support, development, and new opportunities. Our new 2025 initiative at member events will see us run specialised educational tracks, covering key disciplines within MSP business. We kicked this off with a technical track at Vision, our first event of the year, and we will deliver a marketing track at our Exhibition, Gala and Awards event in May, providing valuable insights for our Member companies to enhance their marketing skills to help drive growth and success."

“I am incredibly excited to join Network Group. Its commitment to fostering collaboration, strong member relationships and delivering innovative solutions aligns perfectly with my own professional values,” said Jenny Langelaan. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to build strategic partnerships and drive business expansion within the network.”

Network Group’s flagship event of the year, featuring its inaugural Exhibition, Gala, and Awards, will take place on 7-8 May 2025 at the Kimpton Clocktower in Manchester. A pre-event workshop: “Turn Sales into Profit: How to Scale Revenue Without Doing It All Yourself” will be hosted by Mit Patel, Former Founder & Managing Director of Netstar, on the 7 May.  The main event on 8 May will provide members with the opportunity to engage in workshops, discover the latest from partners, and experience an enticing keynote speaker and vendor exhibition.  The evening provides a space to network and engage with industry peers while celebrating the incredible success of the community at the annual Network Group Awards ceremony.
