Airsys unveils UniCool Edge

'Revolutionary' horizontal cooling for edge data centres

Airsys has launched its 'groundbreaking' new product: UniCoolEdge, the first Horizontal Airflow Cooling System designed specifically for Edge Data Centres and modular server environments.

The UniCool Edge introduces a side-to-side horizontal airflow design that sets a new benchmark in energy efficiency and temperature management. Unlike traditional top-down cooling systems, the UniCool Edge optimises airflow effectively by separating cold and hot air streams which supports hot and cold aisle configurations, resulting in enhanced performance and reduced energy consumption.

CentresKey Features of the UniCool Edge:

Modular, Stackable Design: Scalable to support both small and large Data Centres, offering adaptability and flexibility to growing IT needs.

Horizontal Airflow Configuration: Allows for seamless hot and cold aisle integration.

Free Cooling Technology: Minimises operational costs and lowers environmental impact.

Wide Range of Cooling Capacities: From 7kW to over 100kW, making it ideal for diverse IT environments, including edge computing and IoT setups.

Space-Saving Installation: The system can be mounted outside, freeing up valuable indoor space for servers and other critical equipment.

The UniCool-Edge is specifically engineered for organisations looking to address the increasing complexity of Data Centre cooling while simultaneously improving ROI and sustainability.

“Airsys is committed to driving innovation in the Data Centre industry,” said Matthew Thompson, Managing Director. “With the UniCool-Edge, we’re providing a completely new scalable solution that delivers energy efficiency through variable speed and free cooling technology. This product is a game-changer for organisations navigating changing demands of modern IT infrastructure.”
