The new ERP platform will support users in all of the Vapo Group’s subsidiaries in Sweden, Finland, Norway and in the Baltic countries. With the new ERP solution Vapo aims to achieve cost efficiency through utilizing the Dynamics AX standard functionality and minimizing customizations. The project started in the beginning of 2016 and is scheduled for completion by the beginning of 2017 with a simultaneous launch in all Vapo Group’s operating countries.
“We selected Tieto based on the experience from previous successful rollouts and their knowledge on our business gained over the long relationship. Tieto’s recent investments regarding Dynamics AX competence also played a key role as well as their ability to challenge us in simplifying and standardizing our ERP, which was also built into the project with mutual incentives. The modernized and optimized ERP platform will work as the foundation for our digitalized operations and will be one of the crucial paths on our journey of coming the best in the world in local energy value chain” comments Antti Kleemola, CIO of Vapo.
“Digitalization is transforming industries and disrupting existing businesses. This work is also continuation of a long co-operation between Tieto and Vapo. We are proud to be part of Vapo’s digital journey towards being the best in the world in local energy value chain.” Comments Jaakko Tapanainen, Head of Manufacturing at Tieto.
