Coping with the Cloud challenge

No matter the nature of the business, content creation is key to propelling sales and conveying key messaging. With the aim of reaching as many people as possible and effectively explaining a message, a business must create digestible and relatable content; developing a consistent, recognisable brand voice can be a challenge for businesses especially if a large amount of content is being produced regularly.

How can a business ensure their brand is correctly presented 100 percent of the time? Which words and phrases are commonly used? Is the tone of voice formal or colloquial? Is the content written from a first or third person perspective? Acrolinx uses advanced linguistic analytics to answer these questions to ensure that content is on target and on brand and helping businesses to generate great content that is consistent across platforms.

The Opportunity and the challenge

Acrolinx’s customers are some of the most recognised brands in the world, and as their business grew they found a number of customers were asking for capabilities beyond what Acrolinx’s own data-centre hosted solution could offer. Global brands need global presence so a single European-based data centre was simply not an option for customers on different continents.

However, the difficulty was in implementation. Acrolinx needed a public cloud route to market to be able to offer a global service but also needed a trusted partner to manage the implementation. Acrolinx also found that customers were asking for additional services they could not provide such as intrusion protection and anti-malware.

“We’re a software company, not a professional services company,” said Phiipp Offermann, Senior Product Manager at Acrolinx. “Datapipe is, and it is incredibly valuable to have a professional partner to help us with those managed services. They’ve freed up our IT and support teams - they can now focus on supporting our software, not dealing with hosting issues.”

Datapipe creates results

Soon after partnering with Datapipe, Acrolinx began to see results:
·       Acrolinx attracted more customers by offering a standardised hosting package with options for a wider range of services.
·       Security features were increased, including firewall, anti-malware, intrusion detection, and monitoring.
·       Additional certifications such as ISO 27001 compliance can now be offered.
·       The ability to on-board customers quickly and with less overhead was vastly improved.

“We are in a much better position to fulfil specific customer needs…It’s working even better than I expected,” said Philipp Offermann, Senior Product Manager at Acrolinx. “We can now offer services like firewall, anti- malware, and intrusion detection – all through Datapipe. If the customer wants it, we now have it on our list and can say yes, we offer that.”

“We are now able to on-board customers at a faster pace than previous, going from one a month to multiple customers on-boarding every four weeks. This is great news as we have begun to see an increase in uptake of our software as we can now offer a standardised hosting package with options for a wider range of services.”
