John MacMillan appointed to lead sales and customer acquisition strategy.

Node4 has appointed John MacMillan to the newly created role of sales director to spearhead a new phase of development as part of the company’s fast growth strategy for 2016.  MacMillan will position Node4 as a true end-to-end IT partner for both customers and the channel, with a focus on customer retention and expanding into new vertical markets.
MacMillan, who reports into Node4’s business development director Paul Bryce, brings 15 years’ sales and senior management experience to his new role, with a proven ability to drive transformational growth in the IT sector. At Azzurri, he was instrumental in securing the company’s largest outsourced managed services contract and at Daisy Group he closed the largest single contract in Data Centre and managed unified communications.
MacMillan will lead a team of 30+ sales, pre-sales and account managers to focus on growing revenues within the enterprise mid-market, as well strategic vertical sectors. This includes the public sector, where MacMillan will capitalise on Node4’s recent listing on G-Cloud 7 to meet growing demand for cloud-based services through its Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering.
Reinforcing Node4’s commitment to its customers will be central to MacMillan’s strategy, ensuring his team provide exceptional levels of service at every point of engagement, delivering a comprehensive offering of IT infrastructure, data, communications and security solutions, complemented by fully managed services and industry-leading technical expertise.
John MacMillan comments: “Node4 has already achieved a phenomenal level of growth by evolving its service offering in response to customer needs, but I could see a clear opportunity to take the business to the next level with its powerful combination of technical expertise and industry-leading solutions. I’m looking forward to building a highly focused, ambitious team that will put Node4 ahead of the curve and deliver the transformational projects that will help deliver our fast growth strategy for 2016.”
Paul Bryce, business development director, Node4, comments: “John brings a wealth of experience to Node4 that will be instrumental in driving our next phase of growth. We have purpose-built our service offering to meet the market need for an agile IT partner with the technology solutions and market expertise and insight to take our customers’ businesses to the next level. John’s appointment will ensure we can deliver on our promise to be a strategic partner of choice in the market.”
