Leeds-based tolling giant Sanef boosts its IT Infrastructure

Teams up with IT expert Onyx Group.

Headquartered in Paris, Sanef has extended its toll payment service to UK motorists and established a support centre in the north of England to assist their UK operations.
In a move designed to maximise the performance of their IT systems and resilience of the site, Sanef’s IT infrastructure will now be hosted within Onyx Group’s nearby ISO 27001 accredited Yorkshire Data Centre. The facility, which opened in 2012 following a ?2m investment by Onyx, also includes an onsite Workplace Recovery facility with industry leading Security controls in place to safeguard Sanef from any external IT threats.
John Toal, Sales & Marketing Director at Onyx Group, is delighted to welcome Sanef onboard and feels the deal highlights the company’s desire to offer clients the highest levels of data security and availability: “It is a huge honour to be involved in a project of this scale. With our IT team now removing the burden from Sanef of managing their own IT, they can fully concentrate on what is important them; their business.”
“Here at Onyx we understand that data is the lifeblood of any organisation and the ability to retrieve it at any time is the foundation of business continuity. For that very reason, we pride ourselves on offering our clients the very best in terms of cutting edge security and resilience.”
Charles Hewson, CEO at Sanef Operations, said: “We required a hosting provider in the North of England that could not only provide a data hosting service but also a Workplace Recovery solution to ensure that staff at our contact centre were available 24/7.”
“Due to the delicate nature of the data we are processing it was imperative that we found a supplier with the highest levels of security. Onyx Group’s ability to provide us with a IL3 accredited facility adhering to the highest levels of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) exemplifies the unrivalled levels of security possessed by the facility.”
Working with Onyx will mean that Sanef can maintain its office operations in the event of an emergency situation occurring at its existing facility. The company currently employs more than 300 people at its contact centre in Leeds.
