Chris Roberts has joined Pulsant as channel director to oversee the growth and development of its partner programme.

Roberts brings more than 15 years sales experience to the role, with an extensive range of expertise in selling both directly to the corporate marketplace, and collaboratively through the partner channel.

Previously Roberts held a senior position at global solutions and service provider, MTI, where he was responsible for building a channel proposition, recruiting partners and launching the new programme to the market.

Prior to that, Roberts worked for iomart and Datapipe, where he was tasked with building, promoting and delivering indirect programmes for the channel community, and achievements included several key wins across multiple vertical segments. In addition, at iomart, Roberts also helped deliver several million pounds of new annualised revenue for the company as well as assisting the iomart team to gain accreditation as an approved Dell managed services provider.

Rob Davies, sales and marketing director, Pulsant, said: “Chris has a highly impressive track record, he is well-versed in operating from board level down with a strong customer-focused, profit-driven approach. He has experience of working within both corporate and start up environments and has been successful in both, and is highly adept at motivating and driving his sales colleagues.

“Chris is a very welcome addition to the Pulsant team,” continued Davies. “This strategic appointment really underlines our ongoing commitment to developing and expanding our partner programme. We have already seen unprecedented growth in the programme during the last 12 months, in terms of both revenue and new partners, and we look forward to its continued success.”

Roberts said: “I am delighted to be joining Pulsant, and relish the prospect of managing the company’s rapidly evolving partnership programme. During the last few years there has been a shift by end-user customers in the industry who have moved towards running both on-site IT solutions and deploying off-site IT systems. The demand for technology has changed and this has opened up a wealth of opportunities for Pulsant to grow its partner base and work collaboratively with each partner to provide the end client with their required, best solution.”

The partner programme’s collaborative focus includes actively working with partners to support and complement their business offerings, to assist partners in delivering more value to their customers and being more competitive in a rapidly evolving IT market. All Pulsant partners benefit from the company’s expertise in the industry, as well as its staff resources.

One of the most significant moves in the partnership programme this year, saw Pulsant extend its CloudAgile partnership with IT giant HP, with the aim of further driving down costs and improving return on investment for customers of its cloud computing solutions.
