Zadara Storage adds enterprise Storage-as-a-Service at Dimension Data Europe

Zadara makes possible flexible, cloud-based enterprise storage for SAP, Oracle and other business applications.

Zadara™ Storage has announced the establishment of two new POPs (points of presence) in cooperation with Dimension Data, the ICT services and solutions provider. The two new centres will be in London, UK and in Amsterdam, Netherlands and will immediately enable new customers to take advantage of on-demand, opex SAN and NAS storage with the economics of cloud.

The Zadara Virtual Private Storage Array™ (VPSA™) service provides flexible and cost-effective enterprise SAN and NAS cloud storage, placing the company in a highly advantageous position. The company’s award-winning VPSA solution simultaneously lowers customers’ storage costs and dramatically increases their ability to react quickly to rapidly evolving their customers’ needs. Through the expansion, hosted in Dimension Data’s cloud datacenters, Zadara is now able to power European organisations, of all sizes and vertical markets to support storage requirements of enterprise applications such as those from Microsoft, SAP and Oracle in the public cloud.

“European organisations are rapidly adopting the cloud to transform their IT infrastructures, thereby increasing agility andreducing costs”, said Dani Naor, vice president, international sales of Zadara Storage. “Our customers are leveraging Zadara Storage, due to our unique ability to support enterprise-class block and file storage-as-a-service. Our expanded physical presence with Dimension Data will enable a greater number of European organisations access to the powerful Zadara capabilities.”

“Zadara Storage brings enterprise-class features, reliability, Quality of Service (QoS), performance and privacy to cloud based storage, while preserving the cloud flexibility and economics. This is a compelling offer that provides clients with greater flexibility and higher cost savings. By working closely with innovative companies like Zadara Storage, Dimension Data is able to leverage our core capabilities as global service provider,” said Olivier Posty, cloud sales and development director of Dimension Data Europe.

“This announcement provides more validation of Zadara's overall approach, which we regard as one of the most innovative we've seen to date in the cloud storage space” said Simon Robinson, research vice president of storage at 451 Research. “Combining Zadara's innovative SAN- and NAS-as-a-service capabilities with Data Dimension's scale and reach provides customers across Europe with an opportunity to embrace cutting-edge cloud storage services with confidence.”
