TDAzlan has been appointed as a distributor for the Cisco Meraki portfolio of cloud-based wireless networking solutions for EMEAR.

The partnership extends the availability of solutions from the Cisco’s Cloud Networking Group throughout the region, enabling Cisco Partners to draw on the extensive experience and professional services capabilities of Azlan to maximise their opportunities and sales of the Cisco range of cloud-based wireless networking products.
Cisco’s cloud-based networking solutions offer enterprise-class wireless LAN capabilities at a fraction of the cost of traditional on-premise solutions. They are aimed at businesses with between 50 and 5,000 staff who want to make use of premium wireless features, but do not want to dedicate the IT staff and budget required to manage on-premise solutions.

Cloud-managed wireless access points and controllers, along with powerful management tools from Cisco’s Cloud Networking Group provide organisations with optimum scalability and lower costs, enabling them to adapt to changing needs, meet the escalating demand for mobile device access and support the growing use of bandwidth-intensive applications, such as collaboration and video-conferencing.

Joachim Braune, European Business Development Director for Cisco at Azlan, said: “Wireless access is increasingly important as demand for mobile Internet grows, so do the management requirements increase. Cisco solutions enable customers to meet infrastructure demands while managing complex networks. They address the issues associated with managing users, virtual connections and security, and ensuring that the bandwidth and Quality of Service are always able to meet user needs. In a market where customers are increasingly looking to the cloud to simplify their infrastructure and reduce management costs, we see excellent growth opportunities for Cisco Meraki solutions.”

Commenting on behalf of Cisco, Philip Wright, Director EMEAR Distribution, said: “We are seeing strong acceleration in demand for our cloud-based solutions as businesses increasingly understand how these solutions can deliver growth. Cisco and its channel partners are uniquely qualified to empower customers to optimize the full cloud experience, and we will be working with Azlan to increase levels of awareness within the value-added reseller community and drive sales growth. Azlan’s extensive experience of working with Cisco and introducing new technologies to the channel makes it ideally placed to help partners maximise the potential of the cloud opportunity and deliver a proven cloud-managed networking solution to customers.”

Cisco Meraki products are built from the ground up to deliver cloud networking that provides centralised management, visibility, and control without the cost and complexity of controller appliances or overlay management software. Its products come out of the box with centralised management, Layer 7 device and application visibility, real-time web-based diagnostics, monitoring, reporting, and much, much more. Cisco Meraki deploys quickly and easily, without training or proprietary command line interfaces.

Meraki’s founders invented Cloud Networking while working as graduate students at M.I.T. Cisco Meraki now has a complete line of cloud networking products that power over 20,000 customer networks, including massive global deployments with tens of thousands of devices.

The Cisco Meraki portfolio includes reliable, high-performance wireless access points, switches and security appliances that can be deployed in your campus or remote branches. These devices connect to the Cisco cloud over SSL, register with your network, and download their configuration, automatically. Customers have complete visibility and control over the entire network over the web – they are able to configure devices, run diagnostics, or view reports with a few clicks. Tasks such as RF optimization and VPN configuration are automated by the cloud, while firmware updates and application signatures are deployed over the web.
