Xirrus selects Westcon Group

Xirrus, the leading provider of high-performance wireless networks, has announced a distribution agreement with Westcon Group, a value-added distributor of category-leading unified communications, network infrastructure, data center, and security solutions.

The agreement will give Westcon's global network of speciality resellers access to Xirrus' suite of Wi-Fi-optimised solutions, Xirrus Wireless Arrays, access points and cloud services, providing customers "wired-like" performance with superior coverage, security, seamless connectivity and unified management across the network.

Shane Buckley, CEO at Xirrus comments: "Any organisation today needs to provide their customers with the best possible wireless experience. High-performance Wi-Fi allows them not only to meet consumer expectations, but presents monetisation opportunities through adding new value-added services to the wireless network. Westcon Group is recognised worldwide for its Networking and Security expertise and, with its complementary portfolio, is the distributor that we were seeking to push High-Performance Wireless Networks to the next level."

Willem de Haan, Senior Vice President EMEA, Westcon Group Security Division added "For resellers, high-density deployments are the new market opportunity as organisations seek to provide a wealth of online services to their customers. At Westcon, we know how challenging it can be to meet wireless connectivity demands as volume of users ebbs and flows. We have chosen Xirrus as we believe it's the perfect solution to match scalability and performance."

For more than 25 years, Westcon has built a reputation as the market's leading distributor of security technology. Holding relationships with the most strategic players in the market -- and offering unmatched experience working with the full range of solutions -- Westcon provides the services and support necessary for partners to realize new revenue opportunities associated with the market's premier security offerings.
