The partnership enables UKFast to meet ever-changing and complex customer requirements, as IX Reach provides direct Point-to-Point connectivity into all the major Internet Exchanges around the world – including AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX and France-IX – opening up the opportunity for UKFast’s colocation customers to peer with hundreds of ISPs across the globe.
IX Reach is the latest firm to join the extensive list of companies working from UKFast’s carrier-neutral, Manchester-based data centres and will give its customers another cost-effective connectivity option.
UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones said: “Working together with IX Reach is another step towards our goal of transforming the colocation market in the UK. We built our data centres to bring much needed and long-overdue competition to the market, and we will continue to bring some of the world’s biggest carrier providers to Manchester to provide a hub of connectivity outside of London.”
Stephen Wilcox, CEO of IX Reach commented: “IX Reach is pleased to see this latest expansion to our Manchester metro network and we look forward to working in partnership with UKFast to enable wider spread connectivity over our resilient and reliable network to the UK, Europe, the US and further afield in the Middle East and Asia. Not only will the UKFast tenants be able to access new global PoPs, they’ll be able to access our full portfolio of services and products such as remote peering at all the key Internet Exchanges.”
