Getting FIT for HANA

SAP’s HANA Enterprise Cloud is gaining traction as a tool for delivering real time, enterprise-class business management tools through third party services providers such as Freudenberg IT

SAP’s future, as the company readily suggests, lies increasingly with the success of its in-memory processing technology, HANA. An increasing number of its own applications and service packages have now been updated to run on the HANA environment, and with its appearance as a cloud-delivered service offering, it is now becoming a target for the company’s channel partners looking to move into the cloud.

One such is managed enterprise cloud and hosting services specialist, Freudenberg IT (FIT), which is now an SAP-certified provider of cloud services using the HANA Enterprise Cloud as its cloud infrastructure.

HANA’s in-memory architecture converges database and application platform capabilities to transform transactional, analytical, textual, predictive and spatial data storage and processing. The primary advantage is that it allows companies to use big data in real-time. The HANA Enterprise Cloud is a managed cloud service providing customers the tools to use an elastic cloud infrastructure to build a portfolio of HANA-based applications in a managed cloud environment.

enthused, “Freudenberg has been working with SAP since its inception in 1972, and our experience in hosting SAP applications dates back to 1977,” said Michael Heuberger, President & CEO of Freudenberg IT America. “Companies can now focus on getting actionable information to run their businesses in real-time from their big data repositories, while FIT ensures that the customers’ SAP HANA-based business applications are always up and always performing.”

As an SAP-certified provider of HANA-based cloud services FIT can perform proof-of-concepts and rapid deployments for customers. They also benefit from reduced operational expenses and the ability to focus on the business value of their solutions rather than on building their own cloud infrastructure. FIT manages the details of the technical infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery.

By running the HANA Enterprise Cloud FIT can deliver any SAP application in the cloud. Companies can outsource all their SAP applications to FIT– including SAP Business Suite and the SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP SCM, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation and SAP NetWeaver BW applications.
