Talend Names new CEO, reinforces executive team

Talend has announced the appointment of Jim Foy, Talend’s Executive Chairman, as its new CEO. It also announced that Mike Sheridan, a seasoned sales and marketing executive, has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Co-founder and former CEO Bertrand Diard assumes the role of Chief Strategy Officer where he will focus on mapping the future strategy of the company to further strengthen its position as a leader in fast-growing markets such as Big Data.

Spectra Logic has announced the availability of its SpectraEDGE mobile application, available exclusively to its SpectraEDGE channel reseller partners worldwide. Spectra Logic resellers can now receive real-time partner program highlights, news and sales tools previously only available on the SpectraEDGE portal. The app extends portal accessibility to SpectraEDGE resellers’ iOS- or Android-based mobile devices.

Avnet Technology Solutions has announced the departure of Fabian von Kuenheim, CEO of Magirus, from its EMEA business. For the past six months von Kuenheim has played a key role in the initial integration of the Magirus Group following its acquisition by Avnet, Inc. on 1 October 2012. von Kuenheim will leave the company to pursue new entrepreneurial challenges but will provide advisory support to Avnet for a transitional period until September 2013.
