Feedonomics launches ACE for agent-ready commerce in retail

Feedonomics has introduced ACE, a solution designed to help merchants syndicate product data for AI-driven shopping environments, including platforms such as OpenAI and Google.

Commerce, the parent company of BigCommerce and Feedonomics, has announced a new initiative called Feedonomics Agentic Catalog Exports (ACE). The service is designed to help retailers distribute product catalog data to agent-based discovery channels, including platforms such as OpenAI and Google’s Gemini.

The initiative is positioned for retailers preparing for agent-based commerce environments. ACE aims to reduce the need for custom engineering work and frequent adjustments when integrating with changing platform requirements. It is intended to support integration with systems such as Microsoft Copilot, PayPal, Stripe, Perplexity AI, and Amazon.

According to the description, Feedonomics provides data optimisation services that structure and transform product catalog information for distribution across multiple channels. ACE uses these capabilities to help retailers publish catalog data in formats suitable for different agent-based destinations, with the goal of reducing manual overhead associated with maintaining multiple channel-specific integrations.

The company has stated that agent-based commerce is being implemented in practical use cases, and that merchants are beginning to use systems that allow product data to be surfaced in AI-driven discovery environments. One example provided is Dell Technologies, which is reported to be using the system to make approximately 7,000 products available across AI-powered channels.

As AI-based shopping and discovery tools develop, the structure and consistency of product data is increasingly important for accurate product representation across platforms such as ChatGPT.

The current approach to agent-based commerce includes a combination of feed-based distribution and web crawling, with ongoing movement toward more structured catalog-based methods for product data delivery.

ACE is initially being offered as an enterprise-focused service within Commerce’s broader product strategy aimed at supporting retailers with AI-oriented commerce channels. The company has also indicated plans to expand functionality over time, including potential self-service options that would allow a wider range of merchants, including mid-market and self-serve users, to manage catalog exports directly.
