Mphasis announced the completion of a technology modernisation programme with Flagstar Bank, marking a stage in a year-long collaboration focused on upgrading the bank’s technology capabilities.
Over the past year, the partnership has involved the establishment of a next-generation data centre and a cloud platform to support Flagstar Bank’s infrastructure. As part of this work, six legacy data centres were consolidated into two modern facilities over a 12-month period. This consolidation was undertaken in the context of Flagstar’s acquisition activity and its objective to strengthen its position as a regional bank in the United States.
The programme also included the migration of a number of business-critical applications to the new platform, completed with zero downtime to support continuous banking operations. This modernisation forms part of Flagstar’s “Simple and Sophisticated” (S2) platform initiative.
The updated technology architecture is intended to support customer experience improvements and future operational requirements. The infrastructure also enhances disaster recovery capabilities, supporting operational resilience and enabling further development of digital services.
Looking ahead, Mphasis and Flagstar Bank plan to continue their collaboration, with further work focused on application modernisation and the use of AI and related technologies.
