Fluke Corporation introduces AI-driven enhancements to eMaint CMMS/EAM, aimed at streamlining maintenance operations and improving efficiency on the plant floor.

Fluke Corporation has introduced new artificial intelligence (AI) features in its eMaint CMMS/EAM platform, now available in a beta environment for eMaint customers. The release integrates AI into routine maintenance tasks to help teams access and analyse asset data, convert documentation into actionable tasks, and create work requests via voice input.

The features are based on customer feedback addressing operational challenges rather than experimental applications. The focus is on practical use to improve efficiency on the plant floor.

The beta release includes AI capabilities designed to enhance decision-making speed, execution safety, and workforce efficiency. Users can interact with maintenance data to extract summarised insights from work orders, assets, and parts history. The eMaint mobile app supports voice input and hands-free operation, enabling technicians to access AI-generated answers tailored to relevant information.

SOP Builder automatically generates standard operating procedures from manuals and technical documents, reducing preventive maintenance creation time by more than 50%. Automated prompts guide technicians through critical steps to support consistency, safety, and knowledge capture across teams.

The AI functionality also converts complex Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals into concise, on-demand guidance. Technicians can ask questions and receive direct answers, improving task processing and confidence levels. It also supports hands-free work order creation by converting voice recordings into structured work requests.

The release arrives amid workforce challenges, including skills gaps and turnover. As experienced technicians retire, capturing and distributing knowledge has become increasingly important in asset-intensive industries.

The beta version of eMaint is being used in logistics and manufacturing to provide faster access to documentation and clearer insights from technical manuals. The system integrates into existing workflows, allowing technicians to work more efficiently without requiring AI expertise. The AI features support consistent task execution and enable teams to focus on higher-value problem-solving.

These AI capabilities are currently available to selected beta customers, with a broader rollout planned after further refinement.
