Vantage Data Centers has taken a significant step forward with the launch of its fourth facility, known as KUL14, on their pioneering Cyberjaya campus in Malaysia. This advancement completes the development of Vantage’s initial KUL1 campus, highlighting the strategic demand and client trust in their dedication to providing excellent service. The 16MW data center is already fully leased by a single customer, a testament to Vantage’s growing influence in the sector.

In keeping with the Malaysian government’s aspirations for sustainable data center growth, KUL14 has been realized under Vantage’s “sustainable by design” framework. This approach focuses on innovative design elements that aim to optimize efficiency and operational performance. Particular emphasis is placed on the closed-loop chilled water system, which minimizes water consumption, achieving an almost negligible water usage effectiveness (WUE).

Vantage is renowned for maintaining the highest environmental health and safety standards throughout its projects, an ethos that was rigorously applied during the KUL14 construction. The project required over four million work hours to complete and was finished without a single safety incident. This accomplishment speaks volumes about the company’s safety-first culture and the unwavering commitment from its workforce and construction partners.

Vantage Data Centers is set on further expanding its influence in Southeast Asia, particularly in Malaysia, which has rapidly become the region’s fastest-growing data center hub. The establishment of KUL14 is a part of Vantage’s broader strategy, which includes the expansion of a second Cyberjaya campus, offering more than 400MW of capacity. This dynamic growth is geared towards bolstering Malaysia’s digital transformation and contributing to its economic prosperity.

Jeremy Deutsch, president of Vantage Data Centers, APAC, remarked, “We are thrilled to welcome our customer to KUL14 and support their expanding business. Malaysia has emerged as Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing data center hub, and Vantage is actively expanding our footprint to grow with our customers, including the ongoing development of a second campus in Cyberjaya providing over 400MW of total capacity. We are dedicated to delivering sustainable digital infrastructure to accelerate Malaysia’s digitalization and contribute to its economic growth.”
