Subzero Engineering expands with new Vietnam facility

Subzero Engineering strengthens its APAC presence with a new state-of-the-art facility in Ho Chi Minh City, aiming for local innovation and global scalability.

Subzero Engineering, a global leader renowned for its advanced data centre containment and cleanroom solutions, has made a significant leap in its expansion strategy by launching a major facility in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This facility serves as a pivotal centre for the company's operations across the Asia-Pacific region, signalling a strong commitment to the area.

Midge Pan, General Manager of Subzero Engineering's APAC sector, highlighted that the move is not just about expanding infrastructure. She emphasized, "Vietnam offers a unique combination of talent, resilience and strategic location..." This expansion is seen as crucial for meeting the growing demand for digital infrastructure within APAC.

The new Ho Chi Minh site will act as a global centre of excellence, housing Subzero's manufacturing, design, and R&D operations. It will produce the company's renowned solutions like hot and cold aisle containment systems and modular enclosures. With a dedicated R&D space, the facility aims to accelerate product innovation specific to APAC's rapidly advancing data centre sector.

Shane Kilfoil, President of Subzero Engineering, believes the facility is a cornerstone of the company's global vision. By integrating local innovations with global operations, the company plans to enhance its agility and resilience in meeting the region's dynamic market demands.

This endeavour by Subzero Engineering will create over 50 specialized roles and build partnerships with Vietnamese educational institutions for internships, fostering a continuous stream of skilled talent.

The operational hub is established in an environmentally viable facility employing sustainable building practices like large-scale solar energy generation and energy-efficient systems. These efforts align with Subzero's global environmental ambitions, reinforcing the company's pledge to ecological responsibility.

Pan noted that the infrastructure represents Subzero's dedication to "sustainable innovation and local impact across the APAC region."

Subzero's newest venture in Vietnam embodies its vision of truly being a global enterprise, present and embedded within critical markets. This aligns with the company's mission to support the next gen of data centres with consistent quality and localized expertise. Kilfoil added, "It's an exciting new chapter for our global story."
