ZutaCore releases waterless cooling solutions for AI data centers

ZutaCore unveils groundbreaking waterless cooling technology that enhances AI data centres, boosting efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

ZutaCore®, a leader in waterless direct-to-chip, two-phase liquid cooling, has unveiled its latest innovation: the Waterless End-of-Row (EOR) Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) family. Available in 1.2MW and 2MW systems, these units promise to revolutionise cooling technology for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

With the surge in compute density driven by the AI revolution, ZutaCore’s EOR CDU family offers a centralised and efficient approach to liquid cooling. Capable of supporting multiple racks from a single unit, it ensures effective rack-level monitoring and control. This advanced design not only curtails infrastructure duplication but also reduces the total cost of ownership. It represents a significant leap forward in addressing the dual challenge of high performance and sustainability in modern data centres.

Using patented two-phase, direct-to-chip cooling technology and a low-GWP dielectric fluid, the system efficiently rejects heat into the facility. This innovative approach eliminates the risk of leaks or condensation, leading to enhanced thermal efficiency and lower energy consumption. The system is optimised to handle the high power densities demanded by AI and HPC workloads.

The EOR CDU family is designed to cater to a broad spectrum of availability requirements. It features hot-swappable components that guarantee seamless operation with minimal downtime. Two deployment models are available: balanced and cost-effective scale with a single unit, or an active-standby model accommodating more traditional enterprise designs with dual CDUs.

Remote monitoring and management are facilitated via RESTful APIs, ensuring secure connectivity and real-time visibility across all deployed units. This system adapts to evolving white-space usage patterns and sits at the heart of the drive towards data centre modernisation.

ZutaCore's innovations are already catching industry attention. EGIL Wings plans to integrate these EOR CDUs into its AI Vault platform, reflecting widespread industry recognition of ZutaCore's pioneering solutions.

Built on a strong IP portfolio, ZutaCore’s HyperCool technology has been tested in over 40 global deployments, proving its efficiency, scalability, and broad geographical adaptability. The company maintains a worldwide presence, collaborating with industry giants like Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Carrier, and is continuously expanding through strategic partnerships to champion sustainable innovation in AI data centres.
