Aruga Cyber: Leading the charge in AI-powered cyber defence

Aruga Cyber expands rapidly, pioneering AI-driven cyber protection for all business sizes.

A veteran-founded cyber security company, Aruga Cyber, is marking a milestone year of rapid growth across the UK, as it expands its client base and ventures deeper into AI-powered services.

With its headquarters at Greater Manchester's Digital Security Hub (DiSH) and a brand-new office in Luton, Aruga has escalated to a team of six in just its second year. Central to its success is its trailblazing AI-powered automation technology designed to deliver real-time cyber defence, capable of neutralising threats in only 60 seconds. This transformative innovation offers organisations enterprise-grade protection minus the financial burden of developing their own Security Operations Centre (SOC).

Over a bustling 12 months, Aruga Cyber has broadened its clientele, providing fully-managed SOC services to over a dozen enterprises. Building on this, it has unveiled the Threat Exposure Management service, enhancing insights into emerging risks. Additionally, Aruga's bespoke SOC services now cater specifically to SMEs, further strengthened by a flourishing partnership programme that offers white-labelled solutions via IT providers, cyber security consultancies, and resellers.

Founded in 2024 by David Taylor, a Royal Navy submariner with more than 20 years in defence and cyber operations, alongside ex-British Army co-founder Daniel Long, Aruga has rapidly risen as one of the UK's premier SOC innovators. Recently, as part of the Greater Manchester delegation, Aruga underscored its regional impact during the formal Sister City Agreement with Osaka, Japan, further cementing its position in the tech ecosystem.

In its pursuit of growth, Aruga will roll out its free Cyber Compass gap analysis tool. This initiative empowers businesses by offering a bespoke platform to perform cyber resilience evaluations, producing tailored threat reports. Historically, such analyses would demand substantial time and cost. Aruga has ingeniously transformed this into a complimentary AI-powered solution, accessible to all.

David Taylor, Managing Director of Aruga Cyber, stated: "The past year has been transformational for Aruga Cyber, and we're now on track to double revenue in the next 12 months." Highlighting their military roots, Taylor reiterated Aruga's commitment to democratising cyber security, ensuring protection isn't a privilege reserved for large corporations.
