Green Datacenter expands European footprint with Germany subsidiary

Leading Swiss data centre provider Green pushes into Europe with a new subsidiary in Frankfurt, enhancing its sustainable infrastructure offerings.

Green, the premier Swiss data centre provider known for its work with corporate clients and cloud providers, is advancing its European expansion strategy. The company recently unveiled Green Datacenter Germany GmbH, marking a significant entry into the German market.

Evaluations have already taken place in the Frankfurt am Main area. Here, Green aims to deliver high-availability, energy-efficient data centre solutions, meeting the surging demand from companies and cloud services.

Currently, Green operates six data centres across four Swiss locations, and three more are in the pipeline. Their operations are geared towards energy efficiency and innovative technology, ensuring long-term advantages for clients and regional allies.

Roger Süess, CEO of Green, notes the venture as a "milestone in our growth strategy." With the rise of AI and digital transformation, Green is well-positioned to provide cutting-edge, energy-efficient infrastructure.

Heiko Siats has been announced as the Managing Director for Green Datacenter Germany GmbH. He brings a wealth of expertise from over two decades in running and developing critical infrastructure across several industries including data centres. Siats, who combines extensive technical knowledge with strategic business insights, is set to build a robust local team for project implementation.

Siats emphasised the importance of collaboration, stating: "Developing and operating data centres is just the beginning - the key is to work with customers, partners, and the region to create lasting value." Under his leadership, Green plans to continue its tradition of sustainability and innovation.

This expansion into Germany sets the stage for Green's broader ambitions across Europe, showing its commitment to delivering sustainable data centre solutions that meet the evolving demands of the digital age.
