PwC implements SAP Cloud ERP solution, revolutionising and unifying its operations across 19 countries with over 100,000 professionals connected.

SAP SE has announced that PwC has successfully implemented the SAP Cloud ERP solution, achieving a major milestone in unifying and modernising its operations. Now, over 100,000 PwC professionals across 19 countries are connected through this intelligent ERP platform.

By integrating a variety of components from the SAP Business Suite—including SAP Cloud ERP, SAP Business Technology Platform, and SAP Analytics Cloud—PwC has crafted a robust foundation for streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. This program, a collaboration between PwC and SAP, replaces erstwhile legacy systems with a more agile, scalable framework.

PwC is capitalising on technologies like Joule Copilot and SAP Business AI to unlock opportunities for greater efficiency and innovation. SAP Cloud ERP supports comprehensive finance and project operations, such as project billing, revenue recognition, and treasury functions, while also improving user self-service capabilities.

Colin Wittmer, PwC US chief financial officer, expressed that the new system is enabling better connectivity and equipping staff with essential tools to serve clients effectively. Meanwhile, James Shira, PwC’s global chief information officer, highlighted the move as a leap in agility and innovation, emphasising that leveraging SAP’s native capabilities and practices has led to unprecedented automation and efficiency.

The success of this initiative within a complex ecosystem is testament to the strong collaborative relationship between PwC and SAP. In the future, PwC’s SAP Managed Services team aspires to explore enhancements in data management and analytics, supported by SAP's innovative solutions.

Thomas Saueressig, a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, celebrated PwC's achievement as a clear demonstration of the transformative power of SAP Cloud ERP, describing PwC’s journey towards a data-driven enterprise as inspiring.
