Empowering enterprise transformation: Hexaware's agentic academy ushers in AI-driven staffing

Hexaware Technologies partners with upGrad Enterprise to launch Agentic Academy, focusing on equipping its workforce for the evolution of Agentic AI systems, redefining roles and driving transformation.

Hexaware Technologies, a renowned global IT services provider, has announced the launch of Agentic Academy in collaboration with upGrad Enterprise. This initiative aims to ready their global workforce for the burgeoning era of Agentic AI systems. These autonomous, intelligent software agents are transforming the modern workplace.

With autonomous systems revolutionising traditional roles—from automation to orchestration—businesses face a pressing need to adapt. The next-generation skill set is becoming crucial for staying competitive in this rapidly evolving landscape. Agentic Academy seeks to address this by fostering specialised expertise in this sphere.

The Academy will provide structured, role-based learning, moving beyond conventional transformation approaches. Hexaware intends to introduce the majority of its delivery and engineering teams to this learning ecosystem in the coming months. As the Academy expands its service offerings, the expertise of a seasoned learning partner like upGrad Enterprise is indispensable for deployment.

In collaboration with upGrad, the training modules have been meticulously curated to match Hexaware’s strategic goals with bespoke content offerings, leveraging both enterprises’ expertise in instructional design. Whether in workforce positioning, client engagement, or overarching business ambitions, this training ensures alignment with Hexaware's objectives.

Explaining the essential role of Agentic technology, Vinod Chandran, Chief Operating Officer at Hexaware, stated that the Academy guarantees that the workforce not only adapts to these systems but excels in leading engagements built on them.

The program delineates three specific categories:

  • Builder.AI: Aimed at developers and engineers, focusing on crafting agent architectures with safety protocols and orchestration.
  • Collaborator.AI: Designed for teams adapting open-source or platform-based solutions to specific client environments.
  • Manage.AI: Tailored for delivery leaders managing agent-human interactions and real-time monitoring.

Each learning path offers a cohesive blend of content and certification, integrated within the workflow. "We are shifting from basic automation to intelligent orchestration," says Satyajith Mundakkal, Chief Technology Officer at Hexaware.

Participants from initial batches are already undertaking live assignments, while additional learning tracks are in the pipeline. As EV President & Global Head – Talent Management Satyendu Mohanty remarked, the Academy enhances shared fluency and capability across roles, turning technology trends into sustained advantages.

Srikanth Iyengar, CEO of upGrad Enterprise, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the importance of swift workforce transformation to translate technological shifts into tangible client impact.
