Expanding horizons with India's NVIDIA DGX-Ready MAA10 facility

Discover the advanced features of Chennai's MAA10 facility by Digital Connexion as a certified NVIDIA DGX-Ready data center.

Digital Connexion, a full-service provider of data centre solutions, recently announced that its MAA10 facility in Ambattur, Chennai, has achieved certification as part of the NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center program. This achievement signifies the centre’s enhanced capabilities to handle accelerated computing tasks, which are crucial for both AI training and GPU-intensive workloads.

The MAA10 data centre is meticulously designed to ensure a robust and optimised GPU environment, capable of supporting some of the most compute-intensive AI training and inference workloads. It adheres to global operational standards, notably the ASHRAE W2 thermal guidelines, maintaining efficient cooling in high-heat conditions. Due to its flexible infrastructure, the facility supports both air and liquid cooling systems, enabling diverse deployments, from conventional GPU servers to high-density systems necessitating advanced thermal management.

Designated for high-density operations, the MAA10 facility addresses the stringent power and cooling demands of the newest AI infrastructure technologies while boasting a unique N+2C power architecture. This architecture provides an added layer of redundancy, optimising uptime and boosting operational reliability — essential factors for organisations scaling AI infrastructure.

As CR Srinivasan, CEO of Digital Connexion, noted “The ability to process and manage data at scale is foundational to successful AI deployments... Our certification as part of the NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center program strengthens MAA10’s position as a purpose-built, high-performance environment engineered to aggregate, process, and manage large volumes of AI data, empowering enterprises to innovate at scale.”

As AI becomes more embedded in Indian enterprises, the volume of data needing management grows. With its DGX-Ready status, MAA10 extends the influence of PlatformDIGITAL®, Digital Realty's global data centre platform, providing an AI-optimised space to help manage data-heavy tasks. According to the Data Gravity Index Report 2.0, by 2025, Delhi is expected to generate 12.3k exabytes of data, emphasising the need for optimised data management solutions to tackle challenges and boost AI-driven innovations efficiently.

The MAA10 facility proudly holds a TIA-942 Rated 3 classification, signifying its competence in maintaining critical operations even during maintenance. Additionally, it is rated IGBC Platinum, aligning it with top-tier benchmarks in sustainability, energy efficiency, and resource responsibility. With dynamic infrastructure designed to support variable GPU loads, MAA10 stands ready to assist companies in deploying data-intensive AI applications across India.
