Liquibase, a leader in database DevOps, has announced expanded global operations, new leadership for international sales, growing partner momentum, and regional programs to support millions of Liquibase open source users.

The expansion comes as more organizations worldwide seek to modernize software and data delivery and close the Velocity Gap. The Velocity Gap is the growing divide between how fast application code and infrastructure can move and how slowly database change still happens. Closing this gap is about achieving both speed and control across the entire delivery process.

Liquibase helps teams deliver mission-critical software, data products, and AI applications by automating and governing database change at scale.

“We believe database change must be treated as a first-class part of modern delivery workflows,” said Patti Soch, CEO of Liquibase. “Liquibase Pro closes the Velocity Gap with policy-driven control. It brings database change into the same automated, governed, and secure path as the rest of the delivery pipeline.”

Expanding Global Sales Leadership

To accelerate global growth, David De Paula has joined Liquibase as VP of EMEA and International Sales. Based in France, David brings more than 20 years of global enterprise software sales leadership across DevOps, Cloud, SaaS, AI, and Security and Compliance.

Liquibase already serves millions of OSS users and Liquibase Pro customers across EMEA and APAC. David will drive further growth across these regions.

“Teams everywhere are automating application code, infrastructure, and data pipelines. But the database layer still lags behind,” said David De Paula, VP of EMEA and International Sales, Liquibase. “Closing the Velocity Gap requires delivering database change with both speed and control. That is exactly what Liquibase Pro enables, and I am excited to help more organizations globally adopt this modern approach.”

Growing Global Partner Ecosystem

Liquibase is also expanding its global partner ecosystem to support customers across regions. The company is working with partners including BTP Icon, Perforce Delphix, Zivra, V8 Tech Consulting, and Almaviva Solutions, and recently launched a new Partner Program to drive joint go-to-market efforts.

“We see a growing need across global enterprises to manage database change with the same rigor, automation, and control as the rest of their delivery workflows,” said Tommy Erlank, Technical Director, BTP Icon. “Liquibase Pro’s approach to policy-driven control aligns perfectly with the needs of our clients and helps them deliver faster with greater trust, regulatory compliance, and governance.”

Preparing Global OSS Users for Liquibase 5.0

Liquibase recently released Liquibase 4.32, a milestone on the path to Liquibase 5.0, which introduces a new packaging and distribution model. This update brings greater ownership to OSS users for setup, testing, security, and support, while delivering enterprise-grade packaging and advanced capabilities to Liquibase Pro users.
