Node4 wins ‘Data Centre Hosting/Colocation Supplier of the Year’ at DCS Awards 2020

Node4, the cloud, data centre and communications solutions provider, has been announced the winner in the ‘Data Centre Hosting/Colocation Supplier of the Year’ category at the DCS Awards 2020.

The Data Centre Solutions (DCS) Awards ceremony, one of the industry’s premier annual celebrations of data centre accomplishments, took place virtually on Thursday 10th December, with winners revealed on social media.

Node4 was one of five shortlisted candidates. With winners decided by public vote, Node4 relied on the support of its customers, partners, vendors and other contacts to achieve first place.

“Winning the DCS Data Centre Hosting/Colo Supplier of the Year Award is wonderful recognition of the hard work we put into running Node4’s three data centres,” says Liam Taylor, National Data Centre Manager. “I’m proud of the data centre team and the level of service we achieve, supporting both our colocation and internal Node4 departments.

“Whilst we have grown considerably over the years, we still manage to maintain great customer focus and the personal touch that our customers value.

“Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us, it is truly appreciated.”

“We’ve also been onsite throughout the Covid pandemic helping to keep our visiting customers safe, while supporting our critical infrastructure and systems,” adds Rik Williams, Head of Data Centre Operations

Having provided data centre hosting services since its inception in 2004, Node4 owns and manages data centres in strategic locations across the UK. These include Derby, Leeds and Northampton, as well as having dedicated space in a Slough data centre and points of presence in London and Manchester.

Its Tier 3+ data centres are among the most efficient in the world, with an efficiency rating of PuE 1.2. Across 83,000ft2 with 1,580 racks, its wholly-owned UK data centres provide businesses with access to ISO 27001 certified, highly secure and robust environments.

Node4’s latest award follows a series of notable achievements and awards this month. Alongside winning ‘Data Centre Hosting/Co-location Supplier of the Year’, Node4 was shortlisted with partner DIS for ‘Cloud Project of the Year’ at the DCS 2020 Awards.

Also on Thursday 10th December, Node4 was named ‘Service Provider of the Year’ in the 2020 NetApp UK&I Partner Awards, an annual event that recognises outstanding contributions from NetApp partners.

At the Storage, Digitalisation and Cloud (SDC) Awards ceremony on Thursday 3rd December, Node4 came a close second, taking ‘Runner up’ position with its customer Stagecoach in the ‘Digital Transformation Project of the Year’ category.
