Rainbird partners with Blue Prism

Businesses can now use the decision-making capabilities of Rainbird and the actioning capability of Blue Prism to fully augment the human decision-making process, maximising end-to-end value and efficiency.

Leading intelligent automation firm Rainbird has entered a partnership with robotic process automation software provider, Blue Prism, providing customers with an unprecedented ability to automate and scale human-like decision-making in machines. Blue Prism is integrating Rainbird’s intelligent decision automation platform with its robotic process automation (RPA) tools, to deliver end-to-end intelligent automation.

Rainbird adds a crucial layer of complex and high-value reasoning to the scalability of Blue Prism’s platform. The two organisations have already collaborated over a range of use cases—from fraud investigation to mortgage forbearance— with more opportunities expected to emerge from the partnership.

The two firms recently developed an automated fraud solution which replicates the end-to-end fraud investigation process within major organisations. The solution can reduce costs in year 1 by up to 60% by introducing unprecedented speed, accuracy and scalability, as well as being fully auditable and explaining why it comes to every conclusion. False positives—the bane of many AI and automated fraud systems—are also greatly mitigated.

“The powerful collaboration of Rainbird and Blue Prism, opens up new intelligent automation opportunities that neither standalone technology is able to fully enable, meaning great news for the clients of both organisations,” said Wayne Butterfield, Director of Cognitive Automation & Innovation at ISG. “Entire departments (such as fraud) will, through the decision-making capabilities of Rainbird and the actioning capability of Blue Prism, unlock significant efficiencies to be exploited worldwide.”

James Loft, Chief Operations Officer at Rainbird, commented: "Blue Prism and Rainbird working together brings a new level of depth to our clients and makes decision automation available to those already on an exciting automation journey. Being able to make complex decisions across a business in a consistent and scalable way where there was previously manual review and ambiguity is a step change for business.”
