The agreement further strengthens Westcon’s portfolio of Next Generation Solutions (NGS) offerings, adding Sumo Logic’s Continuous Intelligence Platform™ to provide joint customers with the real-time analytics and insights from a single, cloud-native platform to speed decision-making and drive world-class customer experiences.

As organisations move to embrace cloud computing, they are often faced with more data than it is possible to analyse and handle using legacy tools. The addition of Sumo Logic helps organizations automate the collection, ingestion, and analysis of application, infrastructure, security, and IoT data to derive actionable insights within seconds.

Among its offerings is a Cloud SIEM Enterprise solution, a full-stack SIEM that fuses analytics and automation to perform security analyst workflows and automatically triage alerts. With the threat landscape evolving at an unprecedented rate, Sumo Logic helps modernize security operations by automating the manual work for the security analyst, saving them time and enabling them to be more effective by focusing on higher-value security functions.

Daniel Hurel, Vice President of Westcon EMEA, Cyber Security and Next Gen Solutions, Westcon said: “We are delighted to announce this new distribution agreement with Sumo Logic across the EMEA region. The agreement will give our resellers and partners access to their Cloud SIEM Enterprise solution, allowing better and more informed decisions to be made, as well as reducing the time needed to investigate security and operational issues. Licensed via a unique credit-based licensing model, Cloud SIEM Enterprise will provide the most cost effective way to provide prioritized and contextualized threat data.”

Hurel continued: “Our outstanding expertise in this area, and strong relationships with resellers across EMEA will help to make this the start of a long and rewarding partnership for both Westcon and Sumo Logic.”

Jabari Norton, VP of Global Alliances at Sumo Logic, said: “The shift to cloud computing and modern app architectures is creating a data tsunami, that legacy SIEM solutions simply can’t keep up with. Sumo Logic’s cloud-native approach addresses the challenges facing today’s modern SOC to provide the real-time insights and continuous intelligence needed to remove common technology limitations that burden a SOC's efficiency and ability to mitigate risk.

We are excited to work with a company with Westcon’s standing and quality of service and we look forward to working with their broad ecosystem of partners to deliver joint value to our customers.”
