Bromium’s application isolation technology powers HP Sure Click Advanced, which protects endpoints from malware introduced through email attachments, infected links, web browsers, or downloadable files. The HP Sure Click Advanced technology enables the HP DaaS Proactive Security service to deliver the world’s most advanced isolation security service for files and browsing on Windows 10 PCs, regardless of whether the endpoints come from HP or another manufacturer.
HP Sure Click Advanced is the enterprise-ready extension of HP Sure Click, which comes pre-installed on select HP PCs. In addition to providing threat isolation to stop malware from having impact, the Proactive Security service from HP includes unique threat intelligence that will be used to help IT strengthen their security defenses.
“From the moment a user powers on their device, to when they click on a potentially malicious document or link, HP leverages application isolation technology to allow users to get on with their jobs without having to worry about security,” explains Sherban Naum, SVP Corporate Strategy at Bromium. “HP has a rich history developing market-leading endpoint hardware, and now, with the HP DaaS Proactive Security service, it is ensuring that organizations are no longer dependent on their users making cyber security decisions, while also delivering detailed threat intelligence to their security operations teams. Trust is built into the HP service platform, giving the enterprise real-time visibility into their security posture.”
“As the workforce continues to evolve with more remote and highly mobile employees, today’s approach to modern IT must include an increased focus on security,” said Bill Avey, Global Head and General Manager, Personal Systems Services, HP Inc. “HP creates the world’s most secure and manageable PCs, and the new HP DaaS Proactive Service with the Sure Click Advanced technology goes even further by helping customers protect against, understand, and respond to threats on all Windows 10 PCs.”
Bromium technology brings advanced threat prevention to the HP DaaS Proactive Security Service via hardware-enforced application isolation. As malware and threats are isolated and neutralized inside secure virtual machines containers, the service performs run-time threat telemetry and analytics, helping HP customers get enterprise-grade defenses and allowing security teams to have increased security intelligence. Any malware identified within the secure containers is isolated from the machine host and therefore protected, with instant remediation and full kill-chain forensic analysis when the disposable container is closed.
The HP DaaS Proactive Security service, powered by Bromium Secure Platform technology, is planned to be available in more than 50 countries in April 2019.
