Riello UPS extends Sentinel Dual range

Award-winning manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and standby power systems Riello UPS expands its popular Sentinel Dual (SDU) series.

The eagerly anticipated move incorporates three new models – the SDU 4000, SDU 8000 TM, and SDU 10000 TM – to provide an expanded power range from 4-10 kVA.

Just like the existing 5, 6, 8, and 10 kVA versions, these new additions are designed to handle high-density non-linear loads, making them the ideal solution for protecting mission-critical IT networks and sever rooms, along with sensitive electro-medical devices and industrial equipment.

The versatile new SDU 8000 TM and SDU 10000 TM uninterruptible power supplies can also operate with a three-phase or single-phase input.

Riello UPS General Manager Leo Craig commented: “Our SDU range is particularly popular with IT resellers who appreciate its versatility, proven performance, and ease of use.

“These latest three additions offer the same tried and trusted benefits such as operating efficiency of up to 95%, user-replaceable hot-swappable batteries, and choice of installation either as a freestanding tower or rack-mounted in 19-inch cabinets.”

The expanded Sentinel Dual range offers users a wide choice of operating modes, such as ECO Mode – which increases efficiency to 98% – or Frequency Converter Mode, which enables the input and output frequency to differ.

Up to three SDUs can be installed in parallel to provide either increased capacity or redundancy. The online UPS systems are manufactured with advanced components designed to perform even at stress-inducing temperatures of up to 40oC, while they also feature fans that are digitally-controlled depending on the load, which helps to minimise noise.

The improved Sentinel Dual range is the latest of several product enhancements revealed by Riello UPS. It comes hot on the heels of the launch of an extended power 400 kVA version of its super-efficiency NextEnergy (NXE) range and the introduction of the Sentinel Rack (SER), a new rack-mounted adaptation of its popular single-phase uninterruptible power supply the Sentinel Pro.

While the Riello UPS team is gearing up to showcase its products and complete range of installation, maintenance, and service solutions at several upcoming trade shows. It is exhibiting at Data Centre World in London on 12-13 March (Stand D520), the Scotland Build construction event in Glasgow on 20-21 March (Stand A48), and IT reseller showcase IP EXPO Manchester on 3-4 April (Stand M284).
