Huawei releases FusionStorage 8.0

The Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and many other cutting-edge technologies pose scalability and management challenges to traditional centralized storage with silo-like deployment. With enterprise-grade storage chips and FlashLink^® acceleration technology, FusionStorage 8.0 allows nodes to work with SSDs more efficiently, provides a latency as low as 0.5 milliseconds, and offers state-of-the art performance. Perfect for core carrier databases and financial online productions that require quick I/O responses, the groundbreaking technologies ensure high-speed and stable operation for critical enterprise workloads.

 

Equipped with Huawei's proven HyperMetro (active-active) solution of enterprise storage products, FusionStorage 8.0 provides 99.9999 percent solution-level reliability to ensure uninterrupted operations in virtualization and database scenarios. Additionally, FusionStorage 8.0 offers the industry's only asynchronous replication technology that supports second-level Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for business continuity across data centers. With Huawei-proprietary self-adaptive deduplication and compression capabilities, FusionStorage 8.0 offers up to a 5-to-1 data reduction ratio even in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) scenarios, which further helps users reduce storage space.

As a Huawei FusionStorage customer, China Mobile (Liaoning) has deployed more than 10 petabytes of capacity in total.
