InterCloud expands to UK

Intercloud, the European Leader in global Cloud applications delivery and performance management for Multinationals, opens its London Office.

Intercloud has announced a further expansion of its European operations with the opening of the London Office and the appointment of Matthew Parker as Country Manager. The phenomenal growth in the adoption of cloud services by multinationals requires a high performance global delivery and access platform. For the last 8 years Intercloud’s platform has been enabling European enterprises to retain absolute control over their mission critical applications - flexibly, seamlessly and globally - as they have expanded their cloud services operations.

InterCloud addresses large corporations operating multi-Cloud environments. Independent research shows that the majority of multinationals will be operating in a multi cloud environment by 2019[1]. Such demand is a significant opportunity for InterCloud’s vendor agnostic solutions, because Cloud providers are linked privately to InterCloud’s platform enabling application resources to be connected directly to the service provider.

Matthew Parker has over 20 years’ experience in delivering managed services solutions for mid to large enterprises, along with building the associated teams and support mechanisms for customers. At InterCloud he will be responsible for driving the growth in the UK via new customer acquisition among large global companies, who are using multiple Cloud services. Prior to InterCloud, Matthew was Managing Director for long-term Asigra partner Backup Technology (BTL), a UK-based specialist in Cloud backup, business continuity and disaster recovery. Throughout his career Matthew has held senior sales positions at leading IT service providers with an emphasis on the telecoms, internet and business continuity industries, helping to establish and grow their presence in the UK and Europe. Previous roles include Group Sales Director at iomart, UK Sales Director at Claranet and regional Sales Director at Energis.

Founded in 2010 InterCloud has expanded rapidly from its home market in France, opening sales operations in Spain, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg. The Platform connects to several IaaS providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and supports lots of SaaS vendors such including Salesforce.com, ServiceNow, IBM and SAP. The company also has major customers including Schneider Electric, Soci?t? G?n?rale, Veolia and the French national rail service, SNCF.
