In his role at Gigamon, Durand will oversee all operations in southern and central Europe and drive a coordinated sales, channel, technical and marketing team to accelerate market development in the region.
“Bruno has a wealth of pan-European experience that he will bring to Gigamon and a passion for cybersecurity and networking, which underpins his deep understanding of the industry,” said Gerard Allison, vice president of EMEA at Gigamon. “As a company, we are committed to driving growth and expanding our footprint in southern and central Europe and we are delighted to have Bruno on board. We are confident that his leadership will help us to achieve our increasingly ambitious goals.”
Durand joins Gigamon from Juniper, where he was most recently vice president of Europe, North Africa and Russia, an operation of more than 150 people with revenue of several million dollars.
“Gigamon is taking security from a different approach – starting with visibility,” said Durand. “It’s not just about selling a firewall or other threat prevention system, rather the company is providing its customers with solid and holistic foundations necessary to protect themselves. Not many companies in the market are doing this. The southern and central Europe market is experiencing an exciting growth phase right now. After a period of economic crisis, the market is effectively bouncing back, and investment is increasing. With that comes a huge opportunity for Gigamon to grow beyond expectations in this thriving market.”
