Veeam gives Ingram Micro Partners the ability to add backup and disaster recovery features into their solution portfolio to wrap around their own services. Partners will now have access to the full Veeam Software and Cloud portfolio that sits within the Veeam technology stack.
Ingram Micro channel partners – including VARs, systems integrators and born-in-the-cloud resellers – can now easily purchase, configure and manage Veeam solutions via Ingram Micro Cloud. This will enable end users to access files anywhere and anytime, securely backed by industry-leading technology and an all-inclusive pricing model from small to medium business (SMB) customers.
Apay Obang-Oyway, Director Cloud & Software, UK&I at Ingram Micro, stated: “Information and ultimately data is the key currency in today’s industrial reality. Alongside infrastructure and security, a secure backup solution is one of three strategic pillars for the Ingram Micro Ecosystem of Cloud, which we were able to identify by considering the core areas of forecasted growth in the market. According to the Cloud Industry Forum, cloud adoption remains high with 88 per cent of organisations using cloud services today and 54 per cent foreseeing their entire data estates being hosted in the cloud.
“As the threat of cyberattacks and data hacks grows, secure backup is already a priority for end-users. Customers are going to be looking at their technology providers for protection, prevention, detection, mitigation, and total expertise to ensure that their estate stays safe, should unexpected data loss occur. Partners have a great opportunity to engage their customers and demonstrate the necessary steps to ensure that if the worst happens, they will be able to retrieve important assets.
“We’re dedicated to helping our partners create new routes to market and adding revenue streams to enable growth. With Veeam, our partners will benefit from the ability to offer a flexible, secure online backup and recovery service to customers than can be configured, deployed and managed by a single interface,” Apay added.
Greg Bailey, Director Channel and Cloud at Veeam UK and Ireland, commented: “We’re excited to be working with Ingram Micro on this new partnership, and joining the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace. What stands out for partners and end-users alike is the ability to offer flexible, perpetual and annuity based license models that value-added distribution can work to create solutions and services fit for all types of business from SMB to large enterprise. This now extends beyond Backup and DR as a service to hybrid cloud, monitoring, Test and Patch “aaS” and data management fit for today’s regulation and governance. Veeam are becoming more integral with solutions and the services partners offer, rather than merely looking at backup. Data needs to be managed and then utilised effectively and through Ingram Micro that elevates our cloud-based propositions to our ever-growing partner base through their mature and experienced platforms and services. I am really excited about the partnership and look forward to some great success together from FY18 and beyond.”
