INTERNET MULTIFEED expands Tokyo data centre presence with Colt DCS

Japan’s leading Internet Exchange, JPNAP, operated by INTERNET MULTIFEED will extend their peering fabric into Colt DCS’ Tokyo Shiohama  datacentre. The partnership is testament to Colt DCS’ commitment to expand its portfolio. It will enable their customers to directly connect to one of Asia’s leading Internet Exchanges and exchange IP traffic, and “peer,” with JPNAP’s customers, including Internet Service Providers (ISPs), CATV carriers, content and cloud providers.

Network traffic has been growing explosively, including huge amounts of traffic from “hyper giants” cloud service providers, social media,  major content providers and CDN operators. As this significant growth is expected to continue, connectivity is becoming even more of a deciding factor for customers when selecting a data centre.

Colt DCS has invested heavily in its facilities with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region, including the very recent opening of its fifth data centre in Japan in order to support growing demand. In partnership with INTERNET MULTIFEED, Colt DCS will  provide customers with high-speed, high-quality connectivity that supports growing data traffic.

“Our partnership with Colt DCS is an important building block for us to further expand our business,” said Katsuyasu Toyama, Representative Director, COO at INTERNET MULTIFEED. “Reliable, high-speed global connectivity will provide our customers with the best Internet environment.”

Takashi Kondo, Director at Colt Data Centre Services said: “We are honored to contribute to further growth of the Internet society in partnership with INTERNET MULTIFEED, which has supported the Internet in Japan and Asia from its earliest days. Colt DCS will continue to actively invest and expand its connectivity portfolio in the Asia Pacific region in line with the expectations and demands of our customers.”
