Informatica has introduced Informatica Secure@Source® version 4, the newest version of its award-winning data security offering. Secure@Source is the market’s first solution to provide enterprise data security intelligence and protection for accurately assessing and remediating data risk across cloud, data lakes, unstructured data, and traditional on-premises data environments. The solution stands apart from other offerings because it combines automated and integrated sensitive data discovery, classification, threat identification, user behaviour analytics (UBA), monitoring, risk scoring and remediation in a single platform. With Secure@Source, organisations can prioritise and remediate data risks and monitor their environment for emerging risk conditions.

As the volume of data increases, more and more of the data associated with today’s data-driven digital transformations is dispersed across new and often difficult-to-secure locations – including data lakes and other repositories of unstructured data, mobile devices and the cloud. As a result, organisations must find ways to intelligently map and assess the risk of their dispersed information, and quickly orchestrate effective security controls across all their high-risk data.

Like many components of the Informatica Intelligent Data Platform™, Secure@Source is powered by the metadata-driven CLAIRE™ engine. This enables Secure@Source to intelligently detect and protect critical data across the enterprise, with metadata-driven artificial intelligence, to accelerate compliance initiatives such as GDPR.

New key features of Informatica Secure@Source include:
  • Support for unstructured data, including Office, PDF, text, XML, CSV and JSON
  • Expanded platform support including Amazon Redshift, Azure and SAP
  • Orchestration of a broad range of security controls for remediation, including Ranger, Sentry, data masking and encryption
  • Acceleration of compliance initiatives with classification and security policies for regulations such as GDPR.

Secure@Source: Sensitive Data Detection and Protection
Informatica Secure@Source provides the strongest set of detection and protection capabilities presently available to power data-centric security. Secure@Source customers gain the ability to:
  • Discover and classify – Global visibility, classification, discovery and reporting of an enterprise’s sensitive data and its proliferation.
  • Support compliance – Real-time, multi-factor risk scoring based on data sensitivity, protection status, risk cost and additional factors, leveraging Informatica’s innovative interactive risk analytics technologies.
  • Accelerate audit readiness and response – Visibility into user actions and access to sensitive data, with usage monitoring and intelligent anomalous behaviour detection.
  • Improve breach resilience – Risk-based remediation recommendations and orchestration of data security measures including dynamic or persistent data masking, encryption, access controls, blocking and other solutions from Informatica and third-party providers.
