The municipality cooperation consists of the municipalities of Her?y, Hareid, Volda, Sande, Ulstein, Vanylven and ?rsta, located at the north-western part of Norway, S?re Sunnm?re. In total, the municipalities make up nearly 50,000 inhabitants. The new contract with Tieto runs for three years with an option for additional two years. "During the purchasing process of the new education solution, we assessed Tieto as the best supplier for quality and functionality, especially because of a fully integrated scheduler, as well as the best solution for integrating case and management solutions for sensitive data," says Hilde Hest?s, manager at Her?y municipality.
The municipalities wanted to streamline administration, increase user-friendliness, and implement a better management tool. The municipalities are committed to solving the tasks of the users today, but are also keen to have a partner for the future who knows how to exploit the potential of digitalization of the education sector.
The solution delivered to schools, pre-schools and kindergartens in the municipalities is a comprehensive integrated solution, and thanks to role-based login, the solution addresses the user's needs. The content is tailored to the user, and access control presents the individual only for relevant functionality. Task-oriented design helps to guide users through the tasks they will solve in a good and smooth way.
