CloudVPS launches European OpenStack IaaS platform of the future

Development platform in collaboration with Dell EMC, Mirantis and Equinix.

CloudVPS, one of the largest Dutch independent IaaS providers, has aunched the OpenStack platform of the future. This new public cloud platform utilises state-of-the-art technology, complimented by CloudVPS services based on its many years of OpenStack experience. The platform has been developed in collaboration with Dell EMC, Mirantis and Equinix. The first customers have already gone live using the new OpenStack platform.
CloudVPS was the first independent cloud provider in Europe to embrace, OpenStack, a collection of open source components (compute, storage and networking) that companies can use to develop their public, private and hybrid cloud applications. Today, thousands of customers and channel partners use CloudVPS’ current OpenStack platform to build and offer their applications to end users. In collaboration with Mirantis, Dell EMC and Equinix, CloudVPS has now developed the new OpenStack IaaS platform of the future, to be rolled out across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. The CloudVPS OpenStack platform is unique in Europe, offering businesses, SaaS vendors and developers the freedom and ease of setting up their own cloud environment.
Chris de Jongh, CEO CloudVPS: “We are very proud of what we have achieved as a team. The power and innovation of this platform is unprecedented. To name a few things: OpenStack Mitaka version, fully programmable infrastructure, full SSD technology, redundancy in all layers of the platform, data is by default copied three times and stored in at least two availability zones in the Netherlands, unlimited data traffic and, of course, extensive support through our help desk. We are able to offer these cloud services at a very good price/performance ratio. The new platform has been established in close cooperation with our business partners Dell EMC, Mirantis and Equinix. They have made a significant contribution in terms of design, implementation and support.”
