Tintri expands on Cisco relationship with UCS Director integration
Tintri has provided details of an
integration with Cisco UCS Director. Together, Tintri and Cisco allow
customers to flexibly scale any element of their infrastructure and to
apply
automation to simplify management. Tintri’s plugin for Cisco UCS
Director builds on a go-to-market collaboration between the companies
that includes Cisco Level 1 support for joint Tintri and Cisco
customers.

Tintri enterprise cloud platforms have been designed for management simplicity. In independent testing, The Evaluator Group [September 2016] noted that Tintri was the first storage ever tested to take literally zero time to provision and manage virtual machines. And Tintri’s PowerShell toolkit and REST APIs allow customers to automate quality of service, cloning, replication, snapshots and more.
UCS Director applies automation to provision, configure and secure resources across tenants and cloud environments. Tintri’s plugin for Cisco UCS Director allows customers to more fully realise the potential of Tintri’s differentiated architecture—unlike other storage plugins that require complex configuration, Tintri’s UCS Director integration presents simple configuration options and enables management at the virtual machine and vDisk level. And compared with a hyperconverged solution, Tintri and Cisco ease scale—allowing compute, network and storage to be scaled separately, and supporting multiple hypervisors and workloads on a single node for greater efficiency.
“Tintri and Cisco are already in joint use across many enterprises and cloud service providers. Our customers gain access to rich, real-time and predictive analytics and the tools to automate away management effort,” said Yael Zheng, chief marketing officer at Tintri. “Integration with UCS Director is symbolic of our strengthening collaboration with Cisco.”
“Companies that are serious about enterprise cloud need to consider Tintri and Cisco UCS Director,” said Erik Melander, EVP at Kovarus Solutions. “Our customers have used this combination to expand DevOps practices and apply automation to reduce management effort. Tintri and Cisco UCS Director help to make the value proposition of enterprise cloud real.”
