The contract will see Sudlows providing installation support for all new IT cable infrastructure and other large projects at one of the UK’s largest airports.
LLA is making the biggest single investment in its history to transform the airport and increase capacity from 12 million to 18 million passengers by 2020. Sudlows will support the redesign of the airport’s terminal building which will bring new retail and dining options for passengers.
Sudlows were appointed to the new framework agreement following a comprehensive tendering process which includes the option to extend the contract for a further two years after 2020.
Andy Hanlon, Enterprise Services Director at Sudlows, said: “Sudlows’ expertise and knowledge of working with large airports will bring huge benefits to the ongoing work and expansion of LLA. We look forward to working with the airport in the coming years and bringing new benefits to the organisation and its passengers.”
Kamal Patel, Head of IT at London Luton Airport, said: “Getting the digital infrastructure right during the construction phase and ensuring it is future proof is an integral part of our redevelopment. We look forward to working with Sudlows to help us achieve this”.
