Gigamon has released the GigaVUE-HC3, the first high-performance appliance to enable pervasive visibility and security intelligence at scale in 10Gb, 40Gb, and 100Gb networks. The new offering extends the Visibility Platform and GigaSMART? technologies with higher compute and throughput performance to effectively manage, secure and analyse high volumes of data in transit across networks. Organisations are seeing increasing volumes of data-in-motion travelling at higher speeds across on-premise and cloud environments. The volume of data is surpassing the capacity and performance of monitoring and security tools, and as attacks escalate, security teams face increased complexity, higher costs, and increasing loss of control. Security and management controls in high performance networks (40Gb and 100Gb) demand a new approach to identify the ‘data of interest’ rapidly and in doing so allow compute intensive tasks such as SSL/TLS decryption, metadata extraction and targeted application inspection to be performed on the most relevant and valuable streams of data.
