Load DynamiX Enterprise 5.3 lets storage engineers and architects perform what-if analysis and modelling for NAS (NFSv3) using a customer’s production storage workloads to greatly enhance realism. In addition, there’s a new preconditioning methodology for Flash Array performance testing, providing advanced capabilities for analysing the performance of high-end arrays.
Key new features include:
· Ability to build temporal NFSv3 workload models for hyper-realistic modelling and analysis
· A simplified, foolproof methodology for preconditioning all-flash arrays connected via Fibre Channel and iSCSI;
· Enhanced user productivity and GUI improvements, such as real-time test status notifications and more intuitive workflows; and
· Test management improvements to simplify administrative tasks such as results management, backup and restore, and other system management functions.
“Our Load DynamiX Enterprise 5.3 enhancements are purpose-built to deliver the value our customers need, giving them back more time, money and resources, as well as helping them extend these savings and benefits across their storage infrastructure,” said Tim Van Ash, senior vice president of products at Virtual Instruments. “The customer momentum we’re experiencing across our entire solution portfolio validates that our app-centric approach to performance management is critical, as enterprises must understand their current workload performance requirements prior to making new deployment decisions, such as moving to a public cloud or migrating cloud instances back on premise.”
