Zenium starts Frankfurt Two build

Zenium has started construction of Zenium Frankfurt Two.  Marked with a breaking ground ceremony in partnership with construction contractor, Lupp Group, Zenium has also confirmed that it has secured a pre-let contract for 7MW of power with a global IT Services company. Frankfurt Two is the seventh data center announced by Zenium in less than two years - an incredible rate of growth.

Built directly alongside Frankfurt One, which Zenium acquired in 2015, Frankfurt Two will offer large scale data center capacity with diverse carrier neutral connectivity to serve cloud providers, systems integrators and large enterprises.
In line with Zenium’s forward thinking approach, Frankfurt Two will also offer fully customisable solutions and leading-edge energy efficiencies achieved through the use of the latest in adiabatic cooling technology which will result in uniquely low PUE’s. Onsite support will be managed by the Zenium in-house facilities management and security teams.
“Zenium’s ability to respond quickly to customer needs, reflecting their growth and expansion plans, is definitely one of our key strengths,” said Franek Sodzawiczny, Zenium’s Founder and CEO.  “Our unique funding model enables us to remain agile, assessing opportunities almost on the move. We have seen significant levels of uptake in our services in Germany and we will continue to respond to the demand for purpose-built, highly efficient technical space. We look forward to putting Frankfurt Two firmly on the map.”
Located in Sossenheim, Germany’s ‘Digital City’ and home of DE-CIX, the world’s largest Internet Exchange, Frankfurt Two will deliver 17.6 MW of IT power to 7,500 sqm of world-class technical space housed over five floors providing highly resilient, concurrently maintainable power and cooling to Tier III+ standards.
Lupp’s proven reputation as one of the oldest and largest construction service providers in Germany was key to its appointment by Zenium. The company will work closely with Zenium’s experienced in-house team to manage structural, detailed architectural and base build construction services.
