thevoicefactory continues expansion with second US datacentre opening

Hosted Unified Comms provider, thevoicefactory (tvf) has opened a data centre in Sacramento, California, to meet the needs of its growing customer base in the Americas. This is tvf’s second data centre in the USA, after opening one in Washington DC at the end of 2016.

The two US datacenters have been built using the N+1 approach to support geographic redundancy, which provides resiliency to component failure or complete datacenter outage. The two US datacenters provide a unique option to offer "continental solution resiliency” integrating with the company’s existing European datacenters and providing “five nines” availability. The new Datacenters operate on the latest virtualisation software which enables remote server spin up and down, allowing fast response to potential issues with the ability to add new applications with a few clicks.

The US data centres will start by serving the hospitality industry, covering the US, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean and South America as reach points of tvf’s solution with local regulatory compliant PSTN breakout. Over time tvf will expand the solution to reach other verticals.

tvf MD, Paul Harrison said: “tvf brings industry and technical knowledge and attention to detail to the US to deliver the most advanced, scalable, hosted UC offering. The new data centre is part of our expansion to serve business we have already secured and build for what we will gain in the near future, based on our reputation in the UK and Europe.”

Tvf already serves 21 European countries through partners. Its BroadSoft platform, with its open APIs and sandbox/test lab, delivers an all-encompassing Unified Communication solution enabling all services to be delivered from the cloud in a global ready solution.
