As organisations recognise the need and importance of managing cyber threats, they also need to know how to derive intelligence from their seemingly endless sources of data. To best help organisations meet these challenges, ThreatConnect, provider of the industry’s only intelligence-driven defence platform, is pleased to announce an agreement with BT, one of the world’s leading providers of communications services and solutions, serving customers in 180 countries, to integrate the ThreatConnect platform into BT’s Security Threat Intelligence service.

Offering the proven ability to recognise, categorise and provide advice around the mitigation of cyber threats, BT Security Threat Intelligence helps develop a multi-dimensional defence strategy and build a no-surprises operating model with the ability to respond in an efficient, effective manner when threat issues emerge.

As a managed security service, BT Security Threat Intelligence combines BT’s depth of knowledge, threat intelligence, and advisory services while offering the benefit of tailored threat insights and programme development with ThreatConnect’s platform.

“After experiencing success in the UK for some time now, this agreement represents a game-changing leap forward for us in the UK marketplace,” said Adam Vincent, ThreatConnect CEO. “Many organisations rightly look to BT for help with their threat intelligence programme. Now, with the ThreatConnect platform supporting the organisation, BT can use cross-industry insights and historical context to narrow in on the threats most relevant to each client for fast mitigation.”

Kevin Brown, vice president, threat intelligence at BT, said: “Being ahead of the game and proactive in identifying and addressing cyber threats early is key to survival and success for any organisation today. By adding ThreatConnect to our managed portfolio of services we are further strengthening our capability to be the security intelligence provider of choice for global multinational organisations in the UK and beyond.”

Cybersecurity operations should be adaptable to the specific risks that arise from an organisation’s business strategy. With a threat intelligence platform like ThreatConnect, organisations are able to streamline the gap between threat and risk detection, and engage with confidence in establishing security processes and future roadmap planning.
