Cloudian expands advisory board

Industry luminary Mr. David Roberson brings deep storage expertise to Cloudian advisory board.

Cloudian has added Mr. David Roberson to its advisory board. Mr. Roberson brings a vast amount of storage industry experience to support Cloudian’s global growth following a recent $41M round of funding.

“We’re excited to benefit from Dave’s experience and insight on our advisory board,” said Michael Tso, CEO and co-founder, Cloudian. “Over the past year, we’ve seen 100 per cent growth in our customer base and 100 per cent customer retention. As we close out 2016, we’re positioned for more growth at an accelerated pace. Mr. Roberson’s immense institutional knowledge will offer invaluable strategic guidance.”

Mr. Dave Roberson brings nearly 30 years of executive management experience in technology and currently serves as a board member at Brocade and Quantum. Most recently, Mr. Roberson served as General Manager and Senior Vice President of Enterprise Storage Business at Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP). While at HP, Mr. Roberson played a leading role in its acquisitions of 3PAR, LeftHand Networks, and IBRIX, which placed HP in a stronger strategic position and drove industry-leading growth in key markets. Prior to joining HP, Mr. Roberson spent 26 years at Hitachi Data Systems, starting as corporate counsel and rising through the company to become President and CEO, a position he held from 2006 to 2007. He also served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2002 to 2006 and Chief Operating Officer from 2000 to 2002.
