The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) has announced that HyperGrid, the only application delivery platform that solves the key challenges of DevOps for the enterprise, has become the latest vendor to join the industry body’s growing membership roster.

CIF is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve standards and education in the cloud industry. It provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice to endorse credible providers of cloud services and, through its Professional CIF Membership scheme, assists end users in determining the core information necessary to enable them to adopt such services with confidence.

HyperGrid was founded following the acquisition of DCHQ earlier this year to deliver an application aware offering that brings the simplicity and ease-of-use of HCI together with a pay-as-you-consume pricing model that scales elastically, enabling true DevOps for the Digital Enterprise. HyperGrid has just launched HyperCloud, a dedicated hybrid cloud service that offers application, platform and infrastructure services to accelerate transformation and delivery of business applications that drive innovation and competitive advantage.

Doug Rich, VP of EMEA at HyperGrid, commented: “We are transforming the way enterprises maintain controls and reduce cost in the data centre by moving from a built IT approach to one of consuming IT. We offer a unique proposition fundamentally changing the way our customers consume IT with a no CapEx (pay-as-you-go) model. Our vision is centered on delivering applications in a true ‘as-a-service’ model, while at the same time offering seamless deployment, rapid time-to-value and helps our customers focus on managing their applications and get public cloud-like benefits within their datacenter.

“We have recognised the role the Cloud Industry Forum has taken in the charge for better practice and transparency in the Cloud. Its Code of Practice is a ground breaking initiative offering end users the transparency and security they need in taking the decision to migrate to the cloud, and an initiative such is this is something we can support and reflects our values and commitment.”

Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF, added: “We are delighted to be welcoming HyperGrid to the Cloud Industry Forum. Its expertise in infrastructure is crucial to continue to drive public awareness and best practices within the cloud industry. Our members are instrumental in the direction that the Cloud Industry Forum takes and I am confident that HyperGrid will provide other members and end users with the knowledge to drive certainty in cloud services.”

Hypergrid has recently launched a campaign to target and educate UK based MSPs on how they can maximise the benefits of the public cloud with a low Total Cost of Ownership, no upfront CapEx costs all without fear of vendor lock-in, a hugely attractive consumption model for the market.

Doug Rich concluded: “Businesses want to realise the benefits of the cloud, such as scalability, flexibility and an on-demand subscription model, without the challenge and expense of managing it themselves which is naturally why they turn to not only the vendor community but MSPs in particular.  There is now a clear trend toward consumption-based purchasing evolving rapidly as enterprises consider more flexible subscription or consumption-based payment models. So the role of education remains paramount, not only within the end user community, but with MSPs.  The role CIF plays in educating the market is paramount and that is why HyperGrid has joined CIF to work in partnership to promote this message to the broader business community and UK channel.”
