The VELUX Group employs 9,500 people, with sales and manufacturing operations in over 40 countries. The strategic adoption of PTC’s product lifecycle management (PLM) solution will enable the company to drive smart product innovation and quality and increase profit margins, while delivering the right price to the customer.

For more than 75 years, the VELUX Group has created better living environments for people around the world. They design and manufacture a wide variety of products that bring daylight and fresh air through the roof, sun screening and shutters.

The VELUX Group wanted to further expand its strong competitive advantage in the market and continue on its Digital Engineering journey. “During the past eight years, Windchill has enhanced productivity and innovation in our Accessories Division,” said Bjarke Nielsen, PLM manager, the VELUX Group. “Using the solution across the enterprise will provide us with an intelligent workflow that automates certain routine tasks, enabling us to achieve the highest levels of quality and consistency, whilst driving continued new and innovative product offerings.”

“Globally dispersed development teams, such as those supporting the VELUX Group, realize the critical importance of having a single, integral technology platform for product development to enable them to outperform time-to-market objectives,” said Filip Stal, director of Nordic Sales, PTC. “The VELUX Group has standardized on PTC’s PLM solution, including a complete bill of materials solution, to optimize its product development processes through closed-loop lifecycle management. We look forward to helping this market leader continue to realize the full value of its strategic initiatives.”
