FireMon has added Kurt Mills to its management team. As Vice President of Worldwide Channels, Mills will lead the company’s global channel and distribution efforts, looking to maximize alignment in existing partnerships and expand FireMon’s channel footprint to new markets.

Mills joins FireMon after leading worldwide channel sales and operations for Blue Coat Systems, where he was named a CRN Channel Chief in 2016. During his time, he integrated two cloud acquisitions and developed the channel distribution strategy. Previously, he held channel leadership positions at Aerohive Networks and McAfee.

“Kurt has an incredible track record leading the channel and growing partnerships around the world,” said Pete Kobs, Chief Revenue Officer, FireMon. “We look forward to utilizing his experience in the industry to expand on our global approach to our channel programs and capitalize on the market need for reducing the complexity associated with security of networked environments.”

The channel has been key to recent growth for FireMon. The company experienced record-breaking year-over-year revenue and bookings growth in the second quarter with a 100% increase in channel bookings from H1 2015 to H1 2016. FireMon’s channel program was also named a 5-Star Vendor in CRN’s Partner Program Guide for the fourth straight year.

Mills looks to continue the tradition of a channel-focused company with increased emphasis on strategic alignment with its partners, service providers and MSPs who understand the business value and solution-oriented opportunities FireMon provides with network security technology vendors.

“This is an exciting time to join FireMon,” said Mills. “Over the last year, the executive team has established a sales strategy and vision that led to growth of new customers, strong upsell and renewals and an expansion of the product solutions. The environment they’ve created, along with FireMon’s world class security management technology, provides many opportunities that will be mutually beneficial for both FireMon and the partner community.”
