Atos did not only commit to manage the complete IT infrastructure, it also committed to desktop virtualization and the management of GasTerra business applications. The groupwill also offer support in the field of telephony and the virtualization of the office environment, in respect of both servers and data storage.

Through this continued partnership, both parties will continue to develop their objectives in the field of sustainable development. In this respect Atos will, to a large extent, base its service provision on green datacenter solutions. Furthermore, the virtualization of the central office environment and desktops will contribute to a strong decrease in electricity consumption and, indirectly, to a reduction of CO2 emissions.

“The prolongation of this agreement means that our excellent relationship with GasTerra has become even stronger. We are very pleased that it, yet again, has placed its trust in us and will allow us to contribute to the realization of its strategy in the years to come. In addition, this agreement will further strengthen our position in the international energy sector”, shared Peter ‘t Jong, CEO of Atos in Benelux & The Nordics.
